The backstop prevents the pallet from bouncing off the separator. The use of the VE 2 / RS is particularly recommended if the idle roller chain transport means is used in combination with non-cushioned separators. In the normal state, the separator enters the locked position by means of a spring, the pallet passes the VE 2 / RS in the transport direction and is held in the opposite direction to the transport one.
