Note
In case of centralized power factor correction, multi-level capacitor banks will be connected to the network as needed. Transient currents of up to 180 × Ie can flow between the capacitors.
The capacitors are pre-loaded via early auxiliary contacts and equipped with wire resistors which reduce the inrush current. Therefore, the electrical contacts close late, bringing in direct current. Thanks to their special contacts, the contactors for capacitors are solder-free in the event of inrush current peaks.
By virtue of their special contacts, the contactors for capacitors are solder-free in the event of inrush current peaks of up to 180 × l e .
